1st Virtual Irish History Students’ Association Conference
The Irish History Students’ Association (IHSA), along with the Department of History at Maynooth University, would like to welcome you to the official website of our 2021 annual conference. Established in 1950, the IHSA – as the national association of third-level history students in Ireland – promotes the study of history on an all-island basis, primarily through annual conferences.
Showcasing the future of Irish historical research, these conferences bring together history students at undergraduate and postgraduate level, as well as early-career researchers. This year’s conference, hosted by Maynooth University, will take place from 11-13 March 2021.
While we had hoped to welcome you all to Maynooth’s historic grounds, the likelihood of Covid-19 restrictions still being in place come March means that hosting this year’s conference in the conventional manner is not possible. Therefore, we have chosen to go online and host our first ever virtual congress.
